Scenic cruises around Ishigaki Island aboard Okinawa's traditional sabani sailboat
Book a TourA traditional sailboat built on generations of Okinawan sea wisdom
The sabani is a wooden sailboat long used by Okinawan fishermen. It glides across the water under full sail, and when the wind rests, everyone on board pulls together at the oars. No engine—just human hands and nature's power, the way people have crossed these seas for generations.
At Ocean Link Mimi, we guide you around the beautiful waters of Ishigaki aboard this traditional sabani. Feel the rush of catching the wind, the shared rhythm of rowing together, and the quiet where only waves and wind remain.
Because every tour is a fully private charter for a single group, your family, partner, or friends can enjoy the sea entirely to yourselves.
An experience crafted to stay with you
It's just your group on board—no other guests, no rush, just your own private moment on the water.
Catch the wind in the sails or row together at the oars, and experience Okinawan seafaring the way it has always been.
We'll capture your best moments during the tour and share the photos with you, free of charge.

Your Sabani Guide
Born on Ishigaki Island, Yasuaki grew up with the ocean always close at hand. His maternal grandfather was a traditional Itoman fisherman, and he studied lifesaving in the Marine Science program at Tokai University. A two-time winner of the traditional sabani class in the Zamami–Naha Sailing Race, he now leads private sabani tours crafted just for you.
